Photographs of commuters connection (or not) in the subway system by Neena.
The Toronto subway system has a culture of its own. It is a system teeming with life that one may or may not pay attention to. People come and go…some at break neck speeds, others in a leisurely stroll. Some who are menacing looking while others angelic. People make connections of various sorts using different methods.
With these photographs I hope to provide the viewer with a sense of the connections made (or not) in the subway system.
What a great story! I’m a student from Digital Photography III, and really like it. Image 2 and 3 represents real life under the ground! Great captures of these moments! Image 5 – very interesting, showing what is important to people these days! 6 & 8 – fantastic captures with fabulous composition. Liked image 10 as well, very hilarious with the doll in a bag! Yes, you did show connections!

Thank you Kajtek. It was fun taking these pictures…without the people realizing. Best wishes with your studies…I’ll look forward to seeing your work too.
I’m also in Digital III and love this photo essay! You really captured the vibrancy of the TTC. Thanks for making me look at the subway in a whole new way.
Thank you for your comments. Best wishes on your studies. I’m glad you felt what I was trying to communicate.
